Financial Planning Process

Step 1—Initial Inquiry

We will provide a brief description of our services, philosophies, methodology, and fee structure, and direct you to our website for more information. If our services appear to fit your needs, we will schedule a free “get-acquainted” meeting in person or on the telephone. We will ask you to complete a confidential questionnaire to return prior to our meeting, or bring it with you.

Step 2—Free Get Acquainted Meeting

During this meeting we review your completed confidential questionnaire and discuss your needs and objectives. You will also have an opportunity to ask additional questions about Table Rock Financial Planning. After discussing which services are right for you, you will be provided a fee quote. If you decide to engage our services, you will be asked to sign a client service agreement and will be given a list of any additional information needed to begin formulating your financial plan.

Step 3—Data Gathering and Initial Preparation

You provide the requested data, and possibly complete a web-based risk tolerance questionnaire.  Table Rock Financial Planning will provide a secure web dropbox for you to use, or you may email or mail this information to us. When we receive your information we begin to review and develop your financial plan.  We prepare initial reports and identify additional information needed.

Step 4—Interim Meeting/Interactive Goal Setting

As we review and analyze your situation there may be a need to clarify the information you have provided, or to further refine your financial goals and objectives. Depending on your individual circumstances, an interim meeting may or may not be necessary. If it is, it can be in person or via teleconference.

Step 5—Analysis and Plan Formulation

Table Rock Financial Planning analyzes the information you have provided and studies various plan scenarios. We conclude our research and analysis, and produce the final reports that include observations, assumptions, specific recommendations, and an action plan for your unique situation.

Step 6—Presentation of Your Financial Plan

We review and discuss your financial plan in a one to two hour meeting. The plan is personalized based on your situation and designed to meet your financial goals. You will receive a written summary of observations and specific recommendations. Full payment of the fee balance is due at the conclusion of the meeting.

Step 7—Follow-Up

Proper implementation of your plan is crucial to reaching your financial goals.  Whether you implement and monitor the plan yourself, or contract with Table Rock Financial Planning to assist you, we urge prompt action. After the conclusion of our engagement you may call whenever you wish to initiate additional services, or to schedule a periodic review. We can also discuss options to formalize an on-going professional relationship.
